Amazon has the Kindle Colorsoft on sale for its lowest ever price – and it’s the same as Black Friday’s price – making it the perfect gift for book lovers in your family
Amazon have slashed the price of their popular Kindle’s just in time for Christmas – and it’s the same price as what they were on Black Friday.
Black Friday can be a great time for shopping and getting the best deals, but if you missed out – Amazon have slashed their prices once again for those who have left their shopping to the last minute.
At present, Amazon has slashed the price of its latest colour screen Kindle, the Kindle Colorsoft, down to £164, matching the Black Friday price and marking the lowest ever price for this e-reader.
That’s a 31 percent discount on the e-reader’s original RRP of £239.99, making it a much more budget-friendly investment. At this price, it’s only slightly pricier than the black and white equivalent Kindle, the Kindle Paperwhite – which is currently on sale itself for £134.99.

The Colorsoft is essentially the Paperwhite but with a new colour display. This means you’ll be able to view book covers in your library or in the Kindle Store in full colour, as well as enjoy the vibrant hues of illustrations, comic books, and graphic novels.
Shop the Kindle Coloursoft here.
The Colorsoft is waterproof, so there’s no need to fret about reading in the bath, and the adjustable frontlight offers a warmer tone to ease the strain on your eyes when reading in dim light.
If you’re after the best contrast for black and white text, you won’t find it on the Colorsoft. However, that’s a minor quibble. The introduction of colour where it’s intended in e-books is a fantastic visual enhancement, and could potentially deepen your immersion in the Kindle reading experience.
This means you can now highlight text in books in colour, although the Colorsoft doesn’t support a stylus. If you’re keen on jotting down notes in books or creating your own digital notebooks, you’ll need to go for the more expensive Kindle Scribe.
Amazon also claims that a single charge should last up to eight weeks, allowing you to take this Kindle on holiday without needing to pack a charger (although the USB-C port for recharging is now the same as most modern iPhones and Android phones, which is handy for that one charger lifestyle).
Amazon hasn’t specified how long this offer will be available, but it’s currently listed as a “limited time deal”. The marketplace has also just dropped the price of a 55-inch Hisense QLED TV to just below half price. Originally £799, the Hisense 50-inch 50E78QTUK is on sale for £395, a saving of £404.
What’s more, Amazon promises delivery in time for Christmas, depending on exactly when consumers purchase it. For example, if I were to buy the TV today before 7pm, it’d be delivered on Monday, December 22.
