Samsung has just announced the launch of a ginat new TV that’s coming soon.
A massive new era of home entertainment is on the horizon—and it makes today’s TVs look tiny. Samsung has just unveiled its latest ultra-sharp television at the CES technology show in Las Vegas, and you’re not going to miss it. In fact, measuring in at a colossal 130 inches, this screen is being hailed as a world first.
Of course, bigger isn’t always better, but Samsung is confident that its new display will offer some seriously impressive visuals. That’s thanks to this latest and greatest gogglebox featuring Samsung’s new Micro RGB technology. This promises to make movies and Netflix marathons that look brighter, richer and more vividly colourful than ever.
So why is Micro RGB so good?
The display uses individually controlled red, green and blue Micro RGB LEDs arranged in an ultra-fine pattern behind the panel. Unlike traditional backlighting systems, this design allows precise control of each LED, delivering exceptional image accuracy—even on a screen stretching 130 inches across.
Performance and the overall experience are further enhanced by Samsung’s Micro RGB AI Engine Pro, Micro RGB Colour Booster Pro and Micro RGB HDR Pro, which all work together to make sure content looks picture perfect. Intelligent AI processing is also included, which fine-tunes contrast and lifts dull tones to produce a more dynamic and realistic picture.
Glare-Free technology is incorporated as well, which reduces reflections and ensures consistent viewing quality regardless of room lighting.
Design hasn’t been overlooked either. The TV features a sleek, modern aesthetic intended to help the enormous screen blend seamlessly into its surroundings. Samsung says the display appears to float within its borders, turning the TV into a striking centrepiece that complements the room. Built-in speakers are integrated into the frame to match the visual impact with equally impressive sound.
“Micro RGB represents the peak of our picture quality innovation, and the new 130-inch model takes that vision even further,” said Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “We’re reviving the spirit of our original design philosophy to deliver a truly premium display, engineered for a new generation.”
And if a 130-inch TV feels a little ambitious for your living room, Samsung has you covered. The company has confirmed plans to roll out Micro RGB models in more manageable sizes, including 55, 65, 75, 85, 100 and 110 inches.
