QVC has undercut Currys with its discount on the 55″ Hisense U7Q PRO.
Shoppers are snapping up a smart TV that rivals Sky and lets users stream for free. The model in question is available at QVC, which has just knocked £360 off the 55” Hisense U7Q PRO Mini LED 4K Smart AI TV with Freely.
Usually priced at £999, QVC has just reduced it to £639. This represents a 36% discount and is cheaper than rival retailers like Currys (£699).
This new 2025 model is touted as offering a ‘premium’ viewing experience, with thousands of Mini LEDs and Quantum Dot technology capable of displaying more than one billion shades of colour. The AI-powered TV can also detect and analyse an image to ensure it delivers more true-to-life visuals.
Meanwhile, a built-in subwoofer and Dolby Atmos surround sound immerses viewers in a cinema-like experience whether streaming the latest blockbuster or gaming. But one area that sets the Hisense U7Q PRO apart from some rivals is that it comes with Freely built-in.
This app – a joint venture between BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 – provides quick and easy access to live and on-demand TV over WiFi rather than a satellite dish or aerial. It also includes streaming apps like Netflix, Amazon’s Prime Video and Disney+, but these need a paid subscription.
55″ Hisense U7Q PRO Smart TV

QVC has knocked £360 off the 55″ Hisense U7Q PRO Smart AI TV.
Freely rivals the major brands like Sky, where an entry-level Essential TV and Netflix package with around 100 channels costs £15 per month. For the same bundle with a Sky Glass smart TV included, customers can expect to pay at least £21 per month depending on the model.
Other key features of the Hisense U7Q PRO are its anti-reflection screen and wide viewing angle. There’s also the dedicated Game Mode Ultra, which delivers a 165 Hz refresh rate so gameplay is smooth and lag-free. But while the Hisense U7Q PRO is yet to receive any reviews from QVC customers, those buying from Hisense direct have awarded it a 4.5-star rating.
One five-star review says: “It’s just a phenomenal piece of kit. The picture quality is nothing short of breathtaking. Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Prime all look amazing and even better are 4K UHD discs. Black levels and colour saturation are all handled extremely well and the images in 1080p are pin sharp.”
Another says: “The U7Q PRO has not disappointed, the screen is bright and vivid, and whilst there is glare from the window, that is to be expected as most TVs would have this unless it was a matte panel anyway. The inclusion of Freely makes watching TV quick and easy, a great option to get started especially for less tech savvy people.”
However, the same buyer added: “The only negative I have is that Hisense include their own operating system (VIDAA), which is lacking a bit compared to Android TV offerings.”
While another glowing review says: “The TV is mid-priced although what it has is more premium. Picture is outstanding and sound is like having a sound bar. Impressed as I didn’t think a mid-range TV can have so much, not to mention solar powered remote control.”
