‘Great tablet, worth every penny’
Whether it’s browsing the web, catching up on the latest series, or completing homework and taking notes, tablets have become the go-to gadgets for a huge variety of everyday tasks. More portable than a laptop yet more immersive than a phone, these handy companions are perfect for on-the-go work and play.
Currently, Amazon has a fantastic deal on the Lenovo Idea Tab 11-inch tablet. Previously costing £219.99, the device has been reduced by 27% to £159.99, so it’s an affordable model for first-time tablet buyers or a thoughtful gift for students this Christmas.
The Lenovo Idea Tab’s expansive 11-inch screen has 2.5K resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate, ideal for cosy movie nights in bed or battling boredom on the train. It also comes with a Tab Pen stylus that makes it easy to sketch, take notes, or edit photos.

Running on Android 15, the Idea Tab has Google’s Gemini AI service built in. It can also be used for gaming thanks to the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor that’s under the hood.
With 128GB of storage, the Lenovo Idea Tab has plenty of space for photos, videos, documents – not to mention apps, which can be installed from the Google Play store. To keep the device in pristine condition, it also comes with a folio case with an integrated keyboard.

Another fantastic tablet deal is available at Currys, where shoppers can get a Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+ 11-inch tablet for £189, down from £309. It runs Android 16 and has 256GB of storage (which can also be expanded with a microSD card), as well as Dolby Atmos speakers that bring movies to life.
For a cheaper pick, Argos is selling the Honor Pad X8a for £109.99, an ultra-slim 11-inch tablet that’s 7.25mm thick and weighs 495g. It’s powered by an 8,300mAh battery, which Honor says can last for up to 56 days on standby and up to 14 hours of full HD video playback.
Back to the Lenovo Idea Tab, it has received solid reviews from Amazon customers, who have rated it 4.6 out of five on the online marketplace’s website. One said: “Perfect for watching YouTube, Netflix, etc. The picture quality and sound are excellent. Great tablet, worth every penny.”
“If you are a fairly light browser like me, then this tablet is ideal”, said another reviewer who went on to say that the tablet proves budget tech can be effective. They said: You don’t need to spend lots of money on one, and this Lenovo tablet is competitively priced and very good value for money.
“You probably won’t find it cheaper anywhere else at the moment.” While another user said: “Bought for my daughter, she loves it. It’s everything she needed for uni.”
One mentioned the charging as part of a longer four-star review, saying: “Another customer warned it took forever to charge up, and they were right. Mine took nearly 24 hours, but once charged, the screen quality and sound are amazing.
“The battery life after that first charge is good though, and plugged in again around 50%, it’s charging much quicker, so I’m happy now.” A second commented: “Decent tablet for the money, and the battery life is not bad.
“It’s heavier than my old tablet though, but then it is bigger. I just hope it gets Android 16 eventually.”
