I will be blunt here. I hate YouTube Shorts. Not only is it a time sink, but it’s also a brainrot time sink that makes you feel bad afterwards. Thankfully, with a new update that YouTube is rolling out now, you can finally nuke this from your feed. The feature builds on a Shorts timer YouTube first announced back in October, which let users set a daily scrolling limit anywhere between 15 minutes and two hours. Once you hit your limit, YouTube would prompt you to stop. You can now set your Shorts timer to zero minutes, which effectively wipes…
Floyd Becomes Functional Last time, I discussed how this movie was destined to fail, despite not being all that bad. The plot is well structured. There are few, if any, plot holes. The only issue is the dramatic difference in tone and pacing between the first film and the sequel, but if one was not a fan of the first film, they would consider this an improvement. However, I believe fans of 2001 were bound to reject this sequel, and that really is a shame. The movie begins with Floyd Heywood. In the previous film, Floyd was basically a useless character…
If you assumed Apple and Google were just slow to catch harmful apps on their platforms, a new investigation suggests the problem is far worse than that. The Tech Transparency Project (TTP) found that both the App Store and Google Play aren’t just hosting nudify apps. Their search and advertising systems are actively pointing users toward them. Nudify apps are AI tools that can digitally strip clothing from photos of real people. They can also generate pornographic videos or create sexually explicit chatbots using someone’s likeness. The scary part? 31 of the apps TTP found were rated suitable for minors.…
Battery anxiety is real, at least for me; it definitely is. You know the feeling— you’re halfway through a long day, your phone drops to 20%, and suddenly every notification feels like a threat. Honor, apparently, has had enough of that and is going all-in on fixing it. Fresh out of China comes a leak from Digital Chat Station suggesting that Honor is in trial production of a new battery with a rated capacity of 10,690mAh, which translates to a typical capacity of 11,000mAh, for a smartphone. I’m quite excited. This isn’t Honor’s first rodeo with enormous batteries To be…
A new phishing campaign is using a fake Google security check to steal passwords and other sensitive data from unsuspecting users. Researchers at Malwarebytes warn that the scam impersonates Google’s account protection system, tricking victims into installing a malicious web app. Once installed, the tool quietly collects credentials, one-time passcodes, and other personal information. The scam begins with a fake Google account security page designed to look authentic. Victims are asked to complete a security verification step to protect their account. Instead of protecting their account, the process installs a rogue Progressive Web App (PWA), often through a domain designed…
After teasing the Razr Fold at CES 2026 and announcing the handset at MWC 2026, Motorola has been teasing prospective buyers without a definitive launch date. However, those who’ve been waiting faithfully can finally breathe, as the Razr Fold has got a real launch date (but there’s a catch). How much does the Razr Fold cost? Motorola is now accepting pre-orders for the Razr Fold in the United Kingdom and Europe, with shipments confirmed for May 6, 2026, making a definitive launch date for the market. For the regions, the phone’s launch price is £1,799.99 (roughly $2,436) for the only…
When Samsung fans debate next-generation performance, the conversation often centers on the processor. However, a new leak suggests that the Galaxy S27 series could get a substantial speed boost from somewhere that isn’t as glamorous or popular: its storage. According to a Korean blog post, Samsung is considering UFS 5.0, the next generation of Universal Flash Storage, for its lineup. But, like all good things, the rumor comes with a catch. The faster storage might only be available on select Galaxy S27 models, not the entire lineup. What makes UFS 5.0 such a big deal? Currently, the Galaxy S26 lineup…
If you are old enough to remember the Google Pixel C, a controversial tablet in its own right, you know it featured a light bar at the back that showed Google’s brand colors and battery capacity. It seems that Google is planning to bring this feature back with a couple of enhancements. A new APK teardown of the latest Android Canary and Android 17 Beta releases has revealed references to this feature in the code. According to 9to5Google, the teardown reveals that Google is working on a new hardware feature called Pixel Glow. The feature, which first showed up in…
Apple has just introduced its most affordable laptop, the MacBook Neo, priced at $599 in the US. The new laptop comes in indigo, blush, silver, and citrus color options, while rocking the same fundamental design language as the latest generation MacBook Air. What’s inside the MacBook Neo? It features a 13-inch display with a 2408 x 1506 pixels resolution and 500 nits of peak brightness. Notably, there is no notch at the top, and the bezels are also thicker. Apple is offering the laptop in two storage variants – 256GB and 512GB – while the RAM is locked at 8GB…
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 is down to $1,719.99 in a limited-time deal, a $400 saving off its $2,119.99 list price, and this is the 512GB configuration worth holding out for. Foldable phones have matured considerably over the last two generations, and the Z Fold7 is the clearest argument yet that the form factor has moved well past novelty territory. What you’re getting The large inner display is the reason anyone buys a Z Fold7, and Samsung has continued to refine the crease and hinge to the point where it stops being something you notice after the first few hours.…
