How to Transfer 1TB Between Two PCs Using Only an Ethernet Cable

What you need

• Two Windows PCs with Ethernet ports
• An Ethernet cable

Steps

1. Connect the PCs with the Ethernet cable.
2. Assign static IPs (e.g., 192.168.50.1 and 192.168.50.2).
3. Set subnet mask 255.255.255.0 on both.
4. On the source PC, enable network discovery and file sharing.
5. Share the folder containing your data.
6. On the destination PC, open File Explorer and enter \\192.168.50.1\ShareName.
7. Authenticate if prompted and copy the files.
