Garmin has announced the Enduro 4, the successor to its flagship ultra-endurance smartwatch from 2024. The new model keeps the same $899 price tag as the Enduro 3 while adding more memory, double the storage and a set of new training tools. Sales begin in the United States on 9 October 2026. Alongside the watch, Garmin also unveiled the Approach S72, its new flagship golf smartwatch priced at $799.
Keeping the launch price unchanged is notable at a time when memory prices have been rising, and it positions the Enduro 4 against premium rivals such as the Apple Watch Ultra 4 on endurance rather than display brightness.
Battery life and display
The headline figure remains 320 hours of activity tracking with solar charging, or up to 90 days in smartwatch mode, provided the watch gets enough daily sunlight. Garmin achieves this with a 1.4-inch MIP display behind a Power Sapphire lens that has a solar panel built into it. There is no OLED here, which is a deliberate trade-off in favour of endurance and outdoor readability.
The watch now ships with two battery modes. Max Accuracy is meant for shorter activities where tracking precision matters most, while Max Battery keeps the device running through events such as ultra marathons.

Faster hardware and new training features
The Enduro 4 carries 50% more RAM than its predecessor and 64GB of storage, twice the earlier capacity. Garmin says this makes the interface smoother and map panning around 30% faster. A new Perspective View lets users look further ahead along their route, which helps on trails.
On the training side, grade-adjusted workout targets and rolling pace now account for hills when judging effort, and new stamina zones and stamina curves show how endurance changes over a session and over time. Indoor rowing now reports VO2 max as well. The design is largely unchanged: a 51mm chassis weighing 68 grams, titanium bezel, fibre-reinforced polymer case, 10 ATM water resistance and the built-in LED flashlight. The new ComfortFit Fabric Band uses moisture-wicking fabric and supports QuickFit.
Garmin Approach S72 for golfers
The Approach S72 comes in 43mm and 47mm sizes with an OLED display, sapphire lens, titanium bezel and the same ComfortFit fabric band. It goes beyond yardage numbers, tracking hand speed, backswing length and wrist rotation. With a Garmin Golf Membership, users get club recommendations on select courses, post-round analytics and aerial imagery for planning shots.
It is also Garmin’s first golf watch with a speaker and microphone, so calls can be taken on the wrist and certain tasks work with voice commands. The 47mm version lasts 20 hours on the course with GPS or up to 15 days without it.
Garmin has not announced India pricing or availability for either product yet. Based on previous launches, the watches are expected to reach Garmin’s Indian online store and premium retail partners in the coming weeks, at prices that typically run above the US tags once import duties are added.
